Position Description:

The Quality Control Manager’s primary role is to plan and direct activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for BOND. The QC Manager develops and initiates the standards and methods related to inspection, testing, and evaluation by utilizing knowledge in construction engineering fields such as mechanical, structural and civil engineering.

Salary range: $145,000-$160,000

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Establishes and oversees the programs required to evaluate precision, accuracy and reliability metrics related to all construction projects
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
  • Designs training materials and conducts training sessions on quality control activities
  • Manages and directs workers while they are engaged in the measuring and testing phase and tabulating data and compliance related to materials, process, quality and reliability
  • Maintain all quality control documentation for the company and keep updated on best practices and industry trends
  • Work collaboratively with management keeping them informed of progress and summarizing information and trends
  • Review and analyze quality control documents
  • Proactively identify and report issues of noncompliance and work with management to educate and remediate

 

Qualifications:

  • BS OR BA in engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience in the construction industry with specific quality control experience
  • Understanding of BIM, Project management Software, contract documents, including Owner Contract and Subcontracts
  • Professional certifications (OSHA, First Aid, CPR, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with scheduling process and use of a project plan
  • Basic understanding and experience with surveying equipment and layout work
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and may lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
