As Chief Human Resources Officer, Vanessa is responsible for developing and executing a talent strategy to help drive the success of BOND’s subsidiary companies, and its overall strategic objectives. With over 20 years of experience in people development and operations from multiple industry verticals including tech, media, real estate and education, Vanessa has developed a niche in scaling talent infrastructure and companywide workplace initiatives to position organizations for growth and transformation. She began her career as a principal of two start-up technical recruiting firms and transitioned to broader leadership roles within high-growth organizations. Vanessa is a trusted leader, key advisor, and consensus builder known for building and leading strategic people departments and cohesive teams. She excels in leveraging data to drive actionable insights and influence critical business decisions, thrives on cultivating collaborative partnerships, investing in people, and driving impactful change. She is passionate about spearheading innovative programs to build highly engaged, diverse and inclusive cultures. Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UMASS-Dartmouth and master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
Beyond Bond
Vanessa grew up in the greater Boston area after moving to the US from Malaysia and England. She now resides in Burlington, MA with her two fur babes, her cat Cleo and dog Porter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially outdoors. She loves all types of skiing, mountain bike riding, hiking and appreciating yummy and different food. Vanessa has completed two cross-country road trips with her sister where they’ve ventured multiple national parks, seen amazing wildlife and experienced the varied cultures throughout the US, and she plans on doing at least a couple more in the years to come.
