Position Description:
The Reality Capture Specialist performs all tasks related to Reality Capture (laser scanning) under the supervision of the Reality Capture Manager. The Specialist is responsible for the data capture, registration, and post processing of the Reality Capture process. The Specialist assists project teams through the use of 3D software like Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, and others on various tasks including existing conditions modelling, logistics planning, simulations, and clash detection.

Core Responsibilities:
• Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment
• Works independently and able to make decisions with limits of authority
• Laser Scanning – procure work; act as company representative; testing; increase workflow efficiency
• Building Information Modelling – testing; creation of logistics, mock ups and animation; support VDC and QAQC teams
• Visualization and Marketing – creating of marketing materials and presentations

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience (ideally for a general contractor or construction manager in New England)
• Revit certification preferred but not required
• Understanding of architectural, structural or mechanical drawings as well as understanding of BIM
• Demonstrate experience in required software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Faro Scene, etc.)
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills
• Strong design sensibilities, editing/copywriting finesse, and communication skills.
• Ability to use independent judgement, problem-solving ability, self-starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors

Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position which may include:
• Lifting of equipment (10-25 pounds)
• Occasional confined space work
• Extended periods of standing
• Exposure to outdoor elements (cold, rain, snow, heat)
• Off hours/third shift work
