Position Description:

This position will support BOND Civil & Utility’s safety & operations team by maintaining records of our personnel’s qualifications to perform tasks.  This individual will be responsible for coordination of trainings for employees to obtain any required or expiring qualifications, assisting our teams in complying with all project, state and federal safety monitoring, and working with a wide range of personnel within our organization to complete these objectives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drug Testing Monitoring
    • Creation of e-passports for new hires
    • Review, store and submit new-hire paperwork for PHMSA, FMCSA, Exxon Mobil, Clearing House and FRA to the Transportation Advisor
    • Aid in the quarterly “random” process. Create e-passports & locate approved facility in close proximity to the project with support from Superintendent
    • General management of the drug & alcohol pools for agencies as well as our larger private clients (Williams, Black & Veatch, Burns & McDonnell, etc.)
    • Responsible for tracking and coding invoices for all projects throughout Northeast
  • Training Coordination & Tracking
    • Management of United Academy and/or similar platforms
    • Coordination and tracking of “in-house” and 3rd party training and certification process with Safety & Operations
    • Management of Operator Qualifications database (Veriforce, NGA, EWN, etc.), which includes proper compliance and notification with clients, personnel and agencies
    • Coordination with field personnel on qualification expiration dates (OQ’s, safety trainings, etc.)
    • Coordination with Union Halls to facilitate and promote hall-based training
  • Claims Management Support
    • Submission of Worker’s Compensation & General Liability Claims with weekly updates on all open claims
    • Tracking status (follow up appointments/progress) of claims and communicating with injured employees / claimant and appropriate BOND Civil & Utility team members
    • Maintain contact and relationships with AON’s claim adjusters
  • General Support
    • Coordinate monthly BOND Civil & Utility safety calendar with BOND Civil & Utility Safety Lead
    • Construct Secure software support (safety checklists, sub management, etc.)
    • Collaborate with management on direction, implementation and execution of the organization’s training and development program
    • Coordinate with management on BOND Civil & Utility staffing plans and assignments (support regions in creating staffing matrices)
    • Additional duties as assigned

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of management, craft and 3rd parties
  • Must be detail-oriented, flexible and have the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must display initiative and be a strong communicator to ensure BOND Civil & Utility remains compliant with all client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer programs and ability to navigate multiple software programs
